Windham Cooperative Kindergarten and Nursery School is a preschool based on a developmental philosophy. We believe that each child deserves the opportunity to explore their environment and construct their knowledge with the love and support of their teachers and families. We respect every child at each phase of their growth in all areas of development including social, emotional, physical and educational. We also nurture and support each child's family relationships.
Windham Cooperative Kindergarten and Nursery School believes in a child-centered approach. This enables children to build knowledge through each of their senses with a wide range of hands-on learning experiences. The activities are designed to be developmentally appropriate and appeal to a broad group of learners.
Our highly trained staff holds Degrees in Early Childhood Education as well as Lead and Assistant Teacher certifications. All staff is certified in CPR and First Aid and participates in a minimum of 18 hours of professional development per year. We are committed to the professional development of our staff and encourage, and provide a means for, staff members to further their education by participating in courses, seminars and workshops. These educational growth opportunities allow us to stay current with early childhood education teaching practices and to provide quality programming for your children.
