The HOPE Center houses the Food for the Hungry (FFTH) Food Pantry. It is an outreach mission of the Pleasant Street United Methodist Church that serves our brothers and sisters who live in Salem, NH. From its inception in the late '70s by Oliver Eacker and then later with Gretarose Barnes, Cliff Cleary, and Kay Panciocco, the FFTH Food Pantry has sought to provide healthy foods in a safe compassionate environment for those who are hungry and in need. Our volunteers cheerfully give out smiles, words of encouragement, recipe suggestions, and referrals to other services, such as SNAP and fuel assistance, to support those who enter our doors.
