The hood opens to reveal a replica engine, and the dumping bed and doors function. With sounds and lights, this truck is five pounds of blue and yellow fun both indoors and outdoors. Manufacturers offer a lifetime warranty, and should a piece need replacement, Josh’s is prepared to handle that. Bruders prices range from about $80 to $120. Well worth it.
Nani disclaimer - Explainer about why the toys in our list are super active toys, and even a large truck is included... There was a time when relatives would say, "Trucks are for boys." I disagree with that. My dad was in the construction business, and he taught me to mix cement to build roads in the backyard. I played happily with trucks, loading the bed with furniture from my dollhouse or even with a doll small enough to fit. Today, I am thrilled and sometimes frightened by big trucks, and I am convinced that every child should have a collection of monster vehicles.
